Policies

The following is a list of rules at Friday Night Live! which are intended to keep us all safe and legal at this free summer event. The Dulles Regional Chamber of Commerce, the Town of Herndon, Friday Night Live! staff, sponsors, and volunteers thank you for your adherence to these rules.

Rules concerning Alcohol

• No alcoholic beverages may be brought into the event. Virginia ABC rules prohibit bringing alcoholic beverages into events where alcohol is sold.
• No open or reusable liquid or beverage containers are allowed. Sealed cans, bottles, and juice boxes are okay.
• No glass containers.
• Individuals caught trying to bring alcohol into the event will be barred from attending. Anyone caught more than once will be barred permanently.
• All coolers, bags, chairs, purses, etc., are subject to search upon entry.
• No alcoholic beverages may be taken outside of the Friday Night Live! concert area.
• The restrooms are located outside of the concert area, so alcoholic beverages may not be carried to that area.
• You must be 21 to purchase and consume alcoholic beverages.
• Everyone must present a valid ID and obtain a wristband prior to purchase and in order to consume alcoholic beverages. We check the ID of every customer regardless of age. Please have your valid photo ID ready.
• No more than 2 alcoholic beverages may be purchased by an individual at one time.
• Alcohol sales start at 6:00 PM and end at 9:30 PM at each event.
• We now accept cash, credit cards, and contactless payments for alcohol sales.
• We now also offer 0.0% non-alcoholic beer as an option. You must still be 21 to purchase and consume. No outside non-alcoholic or alcohol-free beer/wine is allowed.
• Friday Night Live! is a drug-free event. Public consumption of marijuana or THC products (including smoking, vaping, beverages, and edibles) is strictly prohibited. Violators may be asked to leave the event area.

Other Rules and Conditions

• No pets are allowed at Friday Night Live! Service animals as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act are allowed.
• No bikes, skateboards, or skates. No riding on premises.
• No hard sports equipment, frisbees, balls, or projectiles. Beach balls and balloons only.
• No hula hoops.
• You can bring compact chairs, small coolers, and blankets. Please leave behind tarps, folding tables, wagons, oversized coolers, chairs with built-in umbrellas or shades, and other large or obstructive items to ensure everyone has a comfortable and enjoyable view.
• No professional photography or video equipment. Cameras with telephoto or interchangeable/detachable lenses, external flashes, monopods, and tripods are not permitted.
• Photos and videos are taken for promotional use. Entry into the event implies consent to be photographed or filmed for use in promotional materials.
• No solicitation is allowed at Friday Night Live!

Lost Children

Parents should immediately report lost children to the ID Booth or find an Event Staff volunteer wearing a bright Event Staff shirt and request assistance. Anyone finding a lost child should immediately take that lost child to the nearest Event Staff volunteer or to the ID Booth. Click here to read our full lost child policy.
