Who runs Friday Night Live!?
Friday Night Live! began in 1995 and is produced by the Dulles Regional Chamber of Commerce.

When is Friday Night Live! and what are the event hours?
Friday Night Live! is held every Friday from May through August. Concessions open at 6:00pm. The band plays from 6:30 – 10:00pm.

What is the age minimum for this event?
All ages are welcome. This is a free, family-friendly event. Children under 12 must be accompanied at all times.

What concessions are available onsite?
We have local restaurants including Domino’s and Jimmy’s Old Town Tavern selling food and nonalcoholic beverages. Dairy Queen sells ice cream treats and Herndon High School programs sell popcorn.

Is there alcohol for sale?
We offer a variety of draft beer along with a selection of wine as well as seltzer. Alcohol sales begin at 6:00pm and end promptly at 9:30pm.

Do you accept credit cards?
Our food vendors accept credit cards. And beginning in 2023, we now accept cash, credit cards, and contactless payments for alcohol sales.

What time does the band play?
The band starts at 6:30pm. When 2 bands are listed on the schedule, the band first is the headliner. The opening act starts at approximately 6:30pm and the headliner starts at approximately 8:00pm.

What happens if it rains?
Friday Night Live! is almost always held unless actual rain forces us to cancel. We rarely cancel based on a forecast. If we make the call to cancel, we will update our Facebook page, Instagram, and Twitter profiles first and then on our home page and email list if time allows. Please note, due to recent platform changes, Instagram is the only one of the three platforms you can view without an account.

Where is the best place to park?
There are many parking areas in and around the venue including a municipal parking garage underneath the Town Green. Please refer to a detailed map of parking locations at herndonrocks.com/about/directions. All municipal and street parking is free.

Is the event indoors or outdoors?
The event is outdoors. There are portable toilets located in the adjacent parking lot for use by our attendees.

How early does the venue open?
The Town Green is always open as it is a public space. However, all bags, coolers, chairs, etc. will be checked once we secure the entrances. Also unattended items may be moved. Absolutely no outside alcohol or open beverages are allowed.

Can I bring a blanket or chairs?
You can bring a blanket and chairs, but large vinyl or plastic tarps, beach umbrellas, or canopies are not allowed.

Can I bring in outside food?
Outside food may be brought into the event. No alcoholic beverages or open containers of any kind may be brought into the event area. No glass containers. All coolers, bags, chairs, purses, etc. will be searched.

Are pets allowed?
No pets are allowed at Friday Night Live! Service animals as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act are allowed.

What if I don’t want my photo taken at Friday Night Live!?
Entrance to the event area serves as consent for the Dulles Regional Chamber of Commerce to capture and use your photo, image and/or voice in it’s promotional materials including, by way of example only, use on websites, in social media, news and advertising.

Can I take pictures at Friday Night Live!?
Yes and we encourage you to take photos of you and your friends for your own personal use. Guests are welcome to bring personal, point and shoot cameras into Friday Night Live!. Cameras with telephoto or long interchangeable/detachable lenses longer than four inches and external flash (professional photography equipment) are not permitted inside the event area at any time. Video recording devices, audio recording devices, monopods, bipods and tripods are also not permitted. Live streaming of any event is expressly prohibited. Video recording on any device and/or flash photography is prohibited at all times. Management reserves the right to deny any electronic device or camera accessory at their discretion. Photos and videos of performances may not be used for commercial purposes.

I saw a photo of me or a photo I like posted by Friday Night Live! Can I use it?
Downloading images from our social media and reposting is STRICTLY PROHIBITED. Sharing our original posts on Facebook and Twitter is allowed. You must DM us for permission to use photos posted on Instagram. This applies to the photos posted by the performers and photographers at our events as well.

How can I participate as a food vendor at Friday Night Live!?
If you are interested in being a food vendor, please email coordinator@herndonrocks.com.

How can I sponsor Friday Night Live!?
All sponsorship information can be found at herndonrocks.com/sponsors/sponsorship-packages. Please note our sponsorship inclusion deadline is March 1.

How can I book my band to play at Friday Night Live!?
If you are interested in playing at Friday Night Live!, please send your EPK to info@herndonrocks.com. Our schedule is usually set by February of each year.

I would like to volunteer at the event. Who should I contact?
Friday Night Live! is a volunteer-run event and we are always looking for new volunteers. If you or your group are interested in participating in Friday Night Live! as volunteers, join our volunteer email list for updated information and volunteer opportunities at herndonrocks.com/volunteer. You must be 21 years old to volunteer.

Can my nonprofit or organization set up a table at Friday Night Live!?
Unfortunately, we don’t offer the opportunity for organizations to set up a table at Friday Night Live! Onsite tables/tents are only available to our top-level sponsors. We have created fundraising opportunities as part of our event and those proceeds are ear-marked for designated community and school organizations based on their participation. Please email info@herndonrocks.com if you are looking for a specific opportunity for your organization to get involved.

Do you have a lost and found?
If you misplace an item while at the show, you can check in with the ID Booth. Valuables such as IDs, credit cards, and wallets are turned over to the Herndon Police Department at the end of the night. Other items left onsite like blankets, chairs, etc. are disposed of during clean up immediately following the show.
